Since 2014, Telinekataja has been a contract partner for the maintenance of the Stora Enso Oulu Mill. – Good foresight and accurate scheduling play a key role in everyday life, during shutdowns and in investments. In addition to trust, we also need resources, says maintenance manager Tuomo Salmela.
When the SSAB plant in Raahe entered into agreement with Telinekataja in early 2021, safety was the priority theme for negotiations. “Going home healthy. This is the most important goal for everyone working at SSAB. Together we take responsibility for interruptions, servicing, and occupational safety”, summarises SSAB’s Raahe plant’s Maintenance Manager Aki Karppinen.
At Outokumpu’s Tornio operations in early autumn 2021, COVID-19 safety during major annual maintenance shutdowns was ensured by, for instance, a bubble model. The employees of their own and subcontractors divided into smaller groups remained in their own bubbles even during breaks.
Through the Oulu–Kemi project, Telinekataja has a total of eight bridge sites on Highway 4, two of which have been contracted by Destia. Insulation and sealing has to be done under weather protection.

Skanska Talonrakennus will carry out construction work related to the expansion of the new machinery unit of the Harjavalta hydroelectric power plant, completed in 1939. Waterways, inlet and suction pipes and spirals will be built for the new machine unit.
